For the sake of being realistic, no manga that is too explicit would become an anime ever. It would have too much censorship, and the story would lose a lot of what makes it amazing in the first place. So, with that in mind, I think stories that rely on plot and emotions to convey the romance would do better.
Also, for a full-12-episodes anime......
