What they're doing is illegal and they dont want to get sued, so they probably dont want to spread the work too much especially on the more popular sites. Also, they spend their own time translating mangas for a certain site, so why would they want someone else to steal them and put it on mangago? 1. mangago have ads. we cant see them when were logged in but its there. every click, every view, mangago gain from all these activities so theyre profiting from someone elses work

I find it annoying when they add a their own watermark on EVERY single page imo. (Like, damn, just let me use this cute bitch as my pfp ) It's a bit annoying but understandable because translating can take a hella long time. 1 reply
As much as I can't stand this hellsite either, scanlators are full of shit on this one.
Scanlation teams' credit pages used to literally say "DO NOT READ ON OR UPLOAD TO MYREADINGMANGA, USE MANGAGO INSTEAD". The uptick in traffic here that happened a few years ago, before all the whatever stans found the site, is literally because of them.

I suppose it’s just like if someone reposted your art? translating is hard work and they feel they should get ownership over what they do, where it’s posted, etc. It makes people really mad when their freelance or independent translations are reposted here, so I understand why they'd be unhappy. I personally like mangadex better because the people there are usually more reasonable than the people on this site and there isn’t really a way to start drama with other people since it’s harder to reply to comments. Also mangadex is where mangago gets its chapters from most of the time so if you want faster releases just go there, reply
