Why do you like bad boys/girls?
I've been on a shoujo manga binge and noticed that most of those stories have bad boys as the love interest. This trend is also something you can see in novels and TV shows and films, so much so that it's become a trope that 'nice guys finish last'. Clearly, people must like this type of character, but why?
I personally don't really like that kind of character, but I can tolerate it if the girl isn't too submissive or weak. Maybe because I know what it's like to date a bad boy, and it's definitely not the way that stories portray it to be. But it does make me curious about what other people think makes a bad boy/girl so attractive.
Well a nice guy/girl Is cool but a bad boy/girl has a kind of sexiness to them, they irritate you and you think they're such a asshole/bitch but you're intrigued. They can capture an audience easily, (whether they're happy, sad or moody.) you wonder about them. (Like damn that was foul, What are they going to do next etc.) Oh and the moment they do...... reply

For myself I often find the nice ones in these stories boring and bland. Too easy and convienent. I like when the bad boy/girl starts to get a crush on the person they were an ass to and then they go into that cute blushy tsundere denial. Or they start to show their affection in a rough and clumsy manner and the other character is all ??? what is h...... reply
