Has being a fujo/fudan ever taken a toll on your RL relationships?
So this is outta sheer curiosity. I'm a 25 yr-old closeted fujo. Hetero in preference but pretty much asexual in practice. Live in a country where LGBTis frowned upon. At the age where peer and family pressures to go dating and marriage is frustratingly high but I've nvr even dated anyone seriously before. Now when I'm already addicted to BL, always have this worry that any man will be scared off if they knew this hobby of mine. I've also read ppl's experiences when they have to stop reading BL since their partners disagree. I dont think I can do that so I always avoid dating at all cost, but consequently ppl start questioning and even judging me the wrong way. On top of that, it's also hard making friends in RL since BL is the only thing im interested in lmao. What about you guys? Do you have similar experience? How d'you handle it?
I'm a closet otaku/fujoshi as well, and I'm also bisexual. It was tough throughout high school because of my sexuality & my love for anime (as I never told even my best friend that I'm an otaku)
But, when I started university in Canada I met my boyfriend now fiance (who also loves anime) and he understands my sexuality and is open about it. Though...... 1 reply
