Would you be able to fall in love with a disabled person?
Yeah I know people might be like wtf and all. Just to clear things out, I don't have anything against them and I don't discriminate them or something like that. I was just wondering if I would be able to fall in love with a disabled person knowing all the difficulties. I want some true feelings, answer with your heart not your mind. (though I don't even know if someone would answer)
Every relationship has "difficulties", as you said. But most of the time, you base whether those difficulties are "worth it", depending on how much you like the person.
For some people it's... "this girl is beautiful but has a racist sense of humor, can I do this?" and others, well... "she's funny & cute, but she's on a wheelchair, can I do this?"...... reply
Yep, I once loved a guy who lost half his leg, from just below his knee. Motorcycle accident. I even helped him bend his stump and other physical therapy after each surgery. He was a sweetheart, and gorgeous. I kid you not, he looked like Brad Pitt when he was younger, except he had long blond hair to his ass, like I did! And he was funny, he used ...... 1 reply
Personally,I hate to admit it would depend on the disability. Some, like high functioning autism, adhd, or many physical disabilities wouldn't bother me as long as they were intelligent. (and funny, they would have to be funny) reply
I myself am disabled, and I've had a loving relationship for 7 years. My girlfriend loves me as I am. It does take some extra work sometimes, but it's not something that doesn't happen. Fall in love with? Can't exactly choose that. But as for having a romantic relationship with, yes, but it depends on what kind of disability. If it's less serious, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If it's something major, I would stay away. I might sound like a bad person, but I just know I couldn't handle it. reply
I would like my answer to be that I don't care and would fall in love with the person whether they have a disability or not. But truth is that I have a hard time falling in love and I hate anything troublesome. If I have to think twice about things when I'm around someone I will avoid hanging out with that person, just to save myself some energy. T...... 2 reply
I think you can't really choose who you fall in love with, so I guess I totally can... altho it's difficult for me to fall in love in general, but I don't think it'd be more difficult with a disabled person. I mean if you love someone you love them and that's it. reply
