for me all the time.... I thought people would think i'm weird for liking Gorillaz, and literally got bullied for liking anime (especially yaoi) and then another rime I was emo and loved mcr so yeah... was proud of that though , but now I like bnha and I think people r gonna dislike me for that cause its 'lame' or 'for girls' or whatever so.....
told my weeb friend i like yaoi and hes like "ew u sexualize men disgusting ew ugh" then they stop when i say i like yuri too "oh really? they are hot right?" we no longer friends now reply
Once i went to see "Spy in disguise" (great movie by the way super animations And lighting) with my former boyfriend, he knew i was inclined in yaoi, but not especially in shipping i guess, bc at the end of the movie, i said i was shipping the two protagonists, like they had a good couple dynamic (platonic or not).

Sometimes I get judged because..I love stories or anything in general that involves forceful, toxic, rapey stuff. It's kind of like a drug for me. I can't help it. yeah anime ,my parents and family judged me for a bit especially my grandma but i got my whole family to shut tf up after awhile bc i got my dad and my friends into anime and my mom watched anime growing up soooo but my grandma got mad at me bc she said i was reading manga wrong lmao but the i proved her i was reading it right and i got a good laug...... reply
