It didn't work out for me unfortunately

hikikomori hikikomori 2016-06-17 07:23:18 About long distant relationship
I met my ex boyfriend when I was 16 and he was 17 in high school. We pretty much clicked right away after meeting and both our families knew about us. But then when I was 20 I moved abroad to Japan for university. Never knew it was so hard to be in a long distance relationship. I only went home once a year back then so we only met once a year. I was really busy trying to cope with classes and working part-time, while he graduated university and started working as well so we barely had time to contact each other. When we started LDR we facetime/call/video-call each other at least once a day but as the time pass by it reduced to once a week, once a month, once in a few months and we realized we were drifting apart. In late 2013 we had a long talk and decided to part ways as there's no way we can continue being in a relationship while not contacting each other and meeting once a year. So we broke up in early 2014. It's been 2 years but I still haven't moved on or met anyone else since then. Probably because he was my first Iove and we were together for 7 years long. I haven't heard about him since then but I know he sometimes contacts my mom and my other family members but not me lol. I'm finally going back home for good next year after 6 years abroad so let's see if we can see each other again. That, if he's still available haha pray for me guys XD

damn, baby girl i wish you the best and i hope you can meet up, and that the love will come back. but honestly, i know that long distance relationships are hard, and sometimes sparks burn out. even when you do meet up again you might cross paths without truly meeting, so maybe it wont be all you dreamed but just because you haven't moved on yet doesn't mean you never will. im sure you will be able to find an even greater love if this one doesn't work out. the happiness you had before might be even greater this time around. never lose hope. <3
