What crazy myth did an adult convince you of as a kid
Y’all remember silly bands? Well my school hated them and my teacher had told the entire class that if we wore them overnight they’d melt into our skin and we wouldn’t be able to take them off without surgery. She did this apparently because she didn’t want us to wear them anymore.

Not a kid but pre teen. When I had my first period, my mom told me to not take a bath until my period ends because taking a bath will mess with your head and make you go insane. I followed her the first 2 days but because I felt gross, I ended up showering on the 3rd day. That was some pretty crazy superstition. Seriously. reply
