Which languages are you learning? Which languages you speak?

kittyboiXx kittyboiXx 2017-12-15 23:42:26 About learn foreign languages
My first language is English. Right now I'm learning Japanese with the help of the internet. I've always wanted to go to Japan and when my father asked me if I would take an opportunity to go to school there, I of course said yes. All I have to do is learn the language and I have two years before I can actually apply for programs. So here I am. I hope to go to Japan and start a music career or become a mangaka. In the future I would love to learn German, and ASL. And maybe even Russian or Korean, perhaps both? Sweden seems like an interesting choice as well. Seeing as how learning Japanese is much easier than I anticipated, I feel like I can do anything! ^•^ Currently, my biggest inspiration and the thing that keeps me going is my idol and role model YOHIO. I was actually talking to my dad about him when he brought up the idea. So it's safe to say that if I never heard of YOHIO I would probably still be wondering what I wanna do with my life xD ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I speak Italian, it's my first language (both the standard and the dialect of course), but I study Foreign Languages at the university so I can speak English, Spanish and a little bit of German and French. Thanks to the internet I'm also studying Korean and Finnish and recently I starded again to study Japanese too.
I simply love learn other languages. I would like to learn something like Portuguese or Russian, maybe even the sign language (it's too fascinating!)
Unfortunatley, for now I cannot go abroad and practice them, but I hope I'll be able soon to travel and maybe learn more. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Oh my god I'm so happy for you! I used to be like obsessed almost with YOHIO as well, and I found out about him through japan etc. :3 I personally am Norwegian, so obviously I know Norwegian and English, but I am also self-taught in Japanese, plus in high school I had to learn German xD I'm really happy that people who have English as mother tongue want to learn, and actually try, a new language, so keep up the good work!

You had to do that in Norway too?! I was forced to either take german or french, so I went with german (since Denmark is so close to Germany). Absolutely hated it though - might have been both my boring teacher(s) and my own fault. I had a phase of thinking that english was waaay supirior and that german sucked - stereotypical stubborn teen! xD

Thank you! Good to see someone else who has heard of YOHIO! I'm doing my best to be consistent in learning, I I've plenty of time in the day since I'm homeschooled. The only thing I really need a way to actually incorporate Japanese into my everyday life and be understood lol. But I'm working it out just fine I think ^.^
