I started reading yaoi at 16 and I think it's the right age. At 16 we already know humans are horny and fcked up so there's nothing too surprising about yaoi, even the hardcore ones. Any age before 16 or 15 is a big NO. Childhood is already too short for god's sake, enjoy your innocence while you still have it reply

I was 11 when I discovered yaoi and started reading it. Looking back, I think that's way too young. I'm now 17 - almost 18. A while ago I came across some manga I had read when I was younger. They were all awful... lowkey homophobic, included rape and made it seem romantic. Reading those "rape = love" stories younger really fucked me up for a while...... 1 reply

I started reading yaoi at 11 or 12 and now I'm 19. I discovered it because I was looking for a wallpaper with Zoro and Luffy and ended looking at Zoro x Luffy and then fanfics happened and since I was already reading manga I looked for something similar and the rest is history.
