I did like Mafuyu and Uenoyama's dynamic. It was slow paced and cliché but bearable. Everything after what's been adapted is a disaster. There's so much pointless dialogue and Akihiko literally assaults Haruki in his own home, but they still get together because of the 'ol "I've loved you this whole time!"
