Is anyone popular at school?
This is probably pretty rude to ask bc it’s kinda an insult to all weebs/fujoshis(including myself). Ppl who are open abt their liking anime/manga/yaoi are usually bullied or ignored at school. So for those who live a double life(they enjoy reading manga without other ppl knowing) are you also a misfit at school? Or do you vibe w the locals and read manga in isolation?
I am kinda known but when it comes talking to anime and manga I wait for them to talk about what they like first so I can have a vague idea of what typa anime they’re watching so I don’t reveal most of the weird shit I read and watch LMFAOOO 1 reply

I live in an extremely multicultural suburb, and watching anime was never an issue in high school. Probably because of how diverse my school was (more brown and black folks), many of us grew up watching it. I was acquainted with a group of guys who all watched anime, and we would frequently have heated discussions (usually involving Attack on Titan...... reply
If you're not popular, you just have to make yourself into finding people you know well with. And then you with these you set yourself away from the crowd. You draw attention to yourself and the few comrades you have and turn the tables. Now you are popular! The question is just whether you can hold the position. Over the past few years I do sometimes hear people bring up my reputation at school. It’s a good one so popular girls still tend to talk to me. The one thing I’ll never talk about to the popular girls is the manga I read (smut-filled yaoi) and the fact that I watch a lot of anime.
