Is being fujoshi wrong? I get when some ppl say that it’s like fetishising gay ppl but idk how should I put it... I am only interested in reading or watching Bl in mangas and anime. So is it like wrong? Idk I sometimes kinda feel guilty..
as long as ur not fetishizing gay ppl or the lgbtqia+ community, then its ok. the only problem is the term "fujoshi" (and fudanshi) has been frowned upon by a lot of ppl especially lgbtqia+ bc for most of em it means entirely negative, so ive seen ppl not associating themselves with fujo/fudan term anymore to avoid conflict.

Its your choice in all honesty, like I have said before there are good and bad in a fandom, but in the fujo one the bad seems to be more present then the good, i personally don’t think its fetishizing but others will. I don't really think it's wrong, as long as you keep your opinions to yourself and don't affect anyone irl, bc I've seen many people shipping two real men making them uncomfortable, that's being toxic an disrespectful

reading or watching bl isnt bad but being a fujoshi is. reading and watching bl doesnt make u a fujoshi. fetishizing gay guys and not being able to separate reality from fiction does make u a fujoshi. if u read and watch bl but r also respectful towards actually ppl in the lgbtq community, its fine and ur not wrong. 2 reply
