Agreed. A good romance needs tension, characters that mutually care about each other, a relationship that seems more emotionally intimate then the friendships in that story, a realistic relationship dynamic, and chemistry.
Romance shouldn’t be forced or revealed with a kiss. There should be signs they like each other.
Sex and kissing are good bu...... reply
yeah, i mean adding kissing and sex would make it steamier but its not necessary yknow? love can be expressed in different ways. but that also doesnt mean that just because a romance author adds kissing or sex into their work makes them a bad writer. it just depends on how you write and use your words tbh reply
Yes. How many times it need to be said that romantic feelings are not the same as sexual attraction? If you kiss and/or hook up with a stranger, doesn't mean your in love with them. Same goes for a person you know. Also passion is different than love. Actually, there are seven types of love but I'm gonna explain them all here.
I'm gonna say that ...... 1 reply
I completely agree. Sex isn’t everything in a relationship and if that’s the only way to portray their love, it’s badly written. Romance is about two characters understanding, and cherishing each other, not getting down and dirty. reply
I agree, but sometimes there isn't a clear reason a person falls in love with someone/or they're bad at being affectionate. Only in those two instances should "merely sex and kissing = love" be integrated. reply
Yes ish....because your writing about sex to early when the characters just met at least they should know each other and get along before they do that.. also they don’t need sex or kissing your speaking facts here.
