Are straight women that read bl manga fetishizing?
I’ve seen a lot of people on here argue about this so i’m gonna give my take on this. Probably gonna get cancelled
So my answer is yes but, if that’s the only kind of media they consume then it’s fetishization and they use it to get off then it’s fetishization.
This also isn’t based just on my opinion. I’ve asked many different members of lgbtq+ community that i know and a lot of have agreed with me. Some others disagreed but yea I just wanted to see you guys’ opinions.
It's interesting to see this topic brought up because lately, as someone who enjoys BL, I've been feeling a little guilty about whether or not my enjoyment of this genre was fetishization.
After a lot of thought, in my opinion, BL stories are just a work of fiction and there's no harm in anyone enjoying this genre as long as they aren't inappropr...... 1 reply
