Opinions about proshipping
hello! i just want to know ya'lls opinion about this. proship, accdg to urban dictionary, is shipping problematic ships such as incest, age gap, loli, shota etc. antis are those who are against said ships. the two are quite common in twitter fandoms. there's always this constant feud w antis telling proshippers they're a "p3do" for shipping an underage character w an older one or how liking incestual ships is the same as codoning it irl. i'm generally okay with people shipping whoever they want even if its "problematic". for me, i understand that fiction has no bounds. its about the people being able to healthily separate fiction from reality. so i just honestly live by the principle of "if you don't like something then don't read or look at it" I just respect people to do what they want in their fandom space, as long as its properly tagged and is with warnings. any thoughts about this?

im an adult who doesnt care abt problematic ships, abt taboo genres. im not a picky reader, i'll read any kind despite it being shitty, fucked up, or disgusting and ik that this comes w a price. ive been labeled as a "pedo" a loooot of times, the few lovely mangago users who dmed me or dropped by my homepage to write their wonderful insights? u lad...... reply
I'm not going to go after people who do it, I'm just not a fan. A lot of that stuff makes me feel uncomfortable because I'm a CSA survivor, but I don't expect people to accommodate me in any way, shape, or form. Since I am a grown adult, I'm always fearful to express myself on this matter, as I agree with your statement.
I received a lot of backlashes in the past for such opinions, so I won't elaborate more.
But as long as the people consuming medias depicting problematic subjects completely understand the importance of those issues and make a clear line b...... reply

I personally think that if you are a good person with firm principles that knows what is right and what is wrong, it doesn’t matter what you see in fiction, because you’ll be able to tell what is good and what is not, what is admirable and what has got to be condemned and not reproduced.

i feel the same way, warnings are very necessary to show that the author doesnt condone any problematic issues. just not shota or loli, its freaks me the fuck out.
however i dont get the problem with age gaps as long as its two consenting adults. somebody educate me on this 1 reply
