i think i'm an aro?
is being an aro/ace considered as "coming out" ? i just want people's opinions about it. i have this feeling, where i can no longer be in a relationship or fall in love with anybody since early 2020. funny, i had my first boyfriend that year and i completely neglected him because i was confused and i felt like that kind of commitment is suffocating me till this day.
Of course it's considered coming out. We're definitely one of the most forgotten or despised "categories", even by our own community and not mention society. We don't even exist for them. yeah? if youre part of the lgbtqai+ community and youre telling people that you are, youre pretty much out of the closet, since youre like not "hiding" it anymore. personally, as a bi person im attracted to men/women but i still feel that relationships are such a drag and a too big a responsibility that i can handle. then again sexuality/gender is ...... reply
Hi, I'm a demisexual myself, which falls into the Aro/Ace category. Personally I view "coming out" as an action rather than a state of being. In my mind "coming out" is like confessing/declaring your sexuality to your friend(s) and/or family. My belief is that you can do this no matter what you are, even if you are straight.
