Question for girls that read bl
Why? Like I'm a bt guy and I don't get the appeal of yuri because I'm not wlw so why do some straight girls read yaoi? Please don't hate I'm genuinely just curious.
personally, i read it because there is no character for me to see myself in. when I read SL or GL i subconsciously see myself through the female lead or one of the girl leads. I’m a bi girl, so i read like everything. They have good plots, they have humour most of the time, and they’re a good length for me. Because most of the time females in shoujo are denser than a rock with the personality of sheet of paper.
Also because I love to read stories that aren't too long and most other genre tend to have more chapters. For some reason I find it a lot easier to find short stories in bl genre than any other. In the end a story is a story if I like it I keep...... reply
I'm bi and an artist, so honestly a lot of what I read ends up being to enjoy the art and plot! It might sound weird, but during sex scenes, I total just analyze how the artist draws bodies and captures form in the shading and anatomy lol. Also, plots of BL always seem to be more genuine than yuri and straight smut, the feelings seem more realistic...... 1 reply
