Hi guys. I wanted to ask for some help. So my friend is writing an isekai genre webnovel and she wanted to add swordmasters in it. The only thing we know about swordmasters is that they are strong and has good swordsmanship and can use aura. And i've kind of read in some stories that there are ranks in swordsmanship and the highest is the swordmaster. Do you all by any chance know the ranks under the swordmaster and what level of swordsmanship they have?
From what I know and could tell by a quick search, there are no ranks in swordsmanship.
And if there are you'll need to research the exact type in detail to find anything.
Also, the aura thing is strictly a fantasy thing. So in general, if you go with a fantasy setting anyway I'd suggest making up your own ranks if at all.
