i’ve been feelings really guilty lately... ever since bl got a ton of controversy through twitter and tiktok i’ve been feeling really uneasy reading bl. i still read it ofc but whenever a sex scene pops up there’s always something in the back of my mind telling me “you’re fetishizing gay men” and it makes me feel so so guilty!!
i’ve been reading bl/gl since 2019 and since then it’s been my serotonin. but there’s people saying that gl fetishizes lesbians and bl fetishizes gay men and now idek anymore
Gee, maybe that's because it's an entire genre built upon decades of fetishizing and objectifying mlm people. Even if you don't personally partake in problematic behaviors and mindsets, you're still supporting a genre that exists and, more importantly, *profits* because of those things.
