i’ve been feelings really guilty lately... ever since bl got a ton of controversy through twitter and tiktok i’ve been feeling really uneasy reading bl. i still read it ofc but whenever a sex scene pops up there’s always something in the back of my mind telling me “you’re fetishizing gay men” and it makes me feel so so guilty!!

Reading yaoi and yuri is basically the equivalent of reading a erotica, except its gay/lesbian. While originally Yaoi was created on the fetishization of mlm, eroticas were created on the foundation of sexualizing women. Fetishing mlm is what makes you a fetishizer, reading a work you enjoy dosent.
