i’ve been feelings really guilty lately... ever since bl got a ton of controversy through twitter and tiktok i’ve been feeling really uneasy reading bl. i still read it ofc but whenever a sex scene pops up there’s always something in the back of my mind telling me “you’re fetishizing gay men” and it makes me feel so so guilty!!
i’ve been reading bl/gl since 2019 and since then it’s been my serotonin. but there’s people saying that gl fetishizes lesbians and bl fetishizes gay men and now idek anymore
I will say, it is a problematic genre in that most of the countries that profit off it don't support gay marriage or rights. But I don't necessarily think we women or theys should be made guilty for liking it, if its our escape and we don't treat gay men irl any different. (however sadly some ruin it and do...)
