My first yaoi was more or less Junjou Romantica, the anime. I don't even remember how I encountered it. I just did. It was before i read the manga in 6th grade so, I was maybe 9 or even earlier? The anime is censored so I didn't know they were having sex, I just thought they were doing something sexy that was not sex?
For a really long time, I kept telling myself that I only like shounen ai. Like in OHSHC, Saint Beast, CCS, etc. Hardcore yaoi would freak me out and I would not touch them at all.
And then in 6th grade, I read a hardcopy of Junjou Romantica's manga and it turns out, all those black stuff in the anime, were sex scenes. And then I discovered the wonder of yaoi manga. And then fanfiction. And then I had BLCDs. And then Yaoi Otome Games. And then more yaoi.
I'm no longer surprised with hardcore yaoi. But Love Prism still stands as the one yaoi I can't read with a poker face.
