Yeah, I learned this a while back last year. I have it too, but I don't find it to be a nuisance, in fact I'd call it a good thing for me seeing how I want to become an author and I've felt happier in my own mind than in real life.   reply

So I am not really well versed on this topic but there is also 'immersive daydreaming'. From what I understand both have similarities- pacing, detailed daydreams and all that- but in immersive daydreaming you can choose to start and stop, and it generally does not have much of a negative effect on their life.
