Who's family/friends knows about you reading yaoi manga?
Personally, Ive only ever told my close friends last year even though its been 8 or so years since ive started. I would rather get eaten by a bear then see my family open my laptop then see two hotties mauling each other naked! I'm truly curious if its normal for peoples family to know about them reading this kind of thing.
My dad knows i'm reading yaoi xD he's a pretty tolerant guy and he was the first person in my family to whom i've come out as a bisexual. Apart from him many of my friends know that i read bl and all of them are ok with it. Actually one of them became my friends just after noticing i have a bl manga so like hell ye! 1 reply

my husband, kids and sister know. my sister knows because we are friends on Facebook and i post ss sometimes of stories i really like. we dont talk about it because she is a bit homophobic tho she wont admit it.

nobody really knows what I read. I mean they know I read mangas and webtoons but they don't know about the naked parts of the yaoi (if you know what I mean...). only my best friend knows I'm a fujoshi but she doesn't really know the true meaning of being a fujoshi (if you know what I mean...) reply
My siblings and friends know. It's nothing I go out of my way to tell, but I don't lie if asked or if the situation calls for it somehow. I have at least 1 friend who likes BL too, as well as my little sister. reply

Yo, well my friends know about me reading Yuri and we all look at those pegi18 pictures together (bc god bless those damned hot girls) lol
But in my family no one knows except for my brother because he just assumed I liked it since I'm gay.
But honestly, mosy yuri/yaoi are literally porn so no I don't think it's weird to not tell your family. reply
