Why are there so many people reading yaoi but are uncomfortable?
I’m starting to see a wave of complainers on comment section on almost every manga. Wether if it’s because of the gore or rape scenes in it. Aren’t we reading yaois because we want to take a break from the mundane? We dive into these ridiculous storylines for fun or excitement. It’s like I see people purposely deciding to watch a horror movie but then know it in themselves that they can’t stand horror. Are people just hate-binging? Is this a thing?
First of all, could you please not compare murder to rape?
No one's ever had a problem with authors using the topic and issue of sexual assault in their works. What we have a problem with is the romanticization of it. That and only that is where the problem lies. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I will whole-heartedly read stories depict...... 2 reply
