fandoms can ruin a franchise
Some ppl in a fandom will be racist, homophobic, telling people to kill themselves, doxx and harass others and y'all will guilt trip and be like "why would you let the fandom ruin your experience lmao just don't engage."
Bullying is so normalized in fandoms that ppl are scared to give a harmless opinion and y'all wonder why ppl lose interest in a piece of media? byyee
Seriously though. Fandoms are always out attacking someone that doesn’t agree with them or has a slightly different opinion from them. But there are some nice people in some fandoms. reply
I’m just tired of people making everything gay and calling people homophobic when they don’t support their nasty ass ship especially when it’s on real people or in a non BL/ GL story... reply
Literally, I didn't want to get into K-pop because I saw all the criminal shit and obsessive behavior from some parts of the fandom and was so afraid that I would become like them so I just didn't get into it until this year. A fandom can change the experience of how someone interacts with a certain piece of media. reply
Like for example I’ll say bakugo is an annoying character and then the bakugo fan base comes out of nowhere to attack me just for not liking him it’s just not helpful reply
Lmao i just don't interact with any fandoms since some people say it can ruin shit :/
Just lemme watch my anime uhgg why ya'll gotta get toxic abt it reply
I agree with you
But Am I the only one who ask herself why people want to be part of fandoms? Why is it a natural thing to do when you like a specific fiction? You know that you can like a work and not go on fandom forums and fandom social media profiles, right? Sorry if that sounds dumb but I don’t understand. I don’t really relate to the who...... reply
