Am I the only one who doesn't like it. I find it weird.
(different from general enemies to lovers)
Usually it goes like:
Bully: haha, you suck
Love interest: no!
Bully:(after a while) You know what, I like you now
Love Interest: Oh! Me too.
End.
That's is it summarized in my opinion. I Find it so rushed most of the time, and most of the time the love interest doesn't think twice that the Bully may just be messing with them! they are just believe that the bully has feelings for them?! (My trust issues are showing.) Also Most of the time the bully is a tsundere. but in the extremely annoying stereotype which includes a lot of yelling and blaming for no reason. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. you don't have to agree with me it's just my opinion.
You aren't alone. I hate reading enemies to lovers as well. I personally would NEVER be with someone who bullied me. (Might just be the cancer in me) That's not to say people can't change but the damage they've done is there. The suffering the victim had to go through is there. They might heal from it but knowing that it's part of their relationships history makes me feel very uncomfortable. I've never fallen in love with someone who has "bullied" me. I think it's a bad trope but people like what they like.
