Sarah Everard's Law is based on Sarah's murder case, this law is a proposal so the criminal defense team can't build an argument about what the victim was wearing when she was kidnapped
I read some tiktok and social media comments that blamed her clothing as the reason why she was kidnapped, and maybe this petition was also based on that, I'll upload her last seen picture (of what she was wearing)
Wow, that's just awful. It's weird how society still have this thought despite being in the 21st century. It's unfortunate that the way she was dressing is an "excuse". It happened something like that at my country too a couple months ago: a footage leaked of a lawyer that was defending the alleged rapist dig the alleged victim's social media pictu...... reply
