losing interest in yaoi
Anyone?
I wasn’t that interested in yaoi anyways, only reason I’d read it is bc it has variety of plots, although I got into it for a min. I know ppl say “yaoi is sex” but damn, I wasnt expecting sex every 2 chapters or a whole 5 chapters of it. I just scroll that part, I dont like it when they have a whole important conversation whilst doing it ༼ ˘ل ˘ ༽. I feel like a pervert, maybe its me but I just can’t keep reading it anymore. I know not everything within the tag isn't like that, if I have to read I prefer the ones that conclude the story with sex thats not exposed so much, that way I read the development and dont need to stay for the sex. I wouldn’t religiously just read it just because its bl unless its interesting to me.
I feel nowadays new works create similar things that have popular plots/tropes now everything is alike and reading older ones some are okay but problematic for me.
I want more shounen ai, there’s like 3x more yaoi here
Yeah this happens to me too. I feel like I've read all the good ones. I just read any other manga which is not yaoi. There are so many good mangas out there. Just read some other genre. reply
I stopped reading yaoi/ shounen ai few years ago because I've read too much that I was feeling like I'm reading one and the same. And I started reading other genres like sports, shonen, horror. I think reading other genres, not only with bl theme, is good if you are starting to losting interest because of repeatability. reply
I lost interest a while ago. I used to read it because there aren't that many GL love stories that actually kept my attention. But now when I try to read BL it seems like all of it has that same ol art and the same ol plot. And how you mention sex, as a lesbian i never read it for the sex but literally for the plot and now I can barely find anythin...... reply
