This is sort of like the topic of euthanasia. Would you attempt to save them, and have them suffer through the pain? Or put them to rest, and send them off less painfully?

For Neither of them. The person trying to suicide, we can't actually know what's happening to his/her mind in that state (Maybe abuse, bully or any). The person trying to save the suicide person, he/she is trying to do the right thing. Life is precious tho.
