Should I still have Hopes for this guy?

This is just a question, but I have many cases of drama.... My story goes... I'm in my last year of High School, and there's this "good looking" guy I like and last year I confess he turn me down with reason generally about, he had dated a underage girl because he feel bad for her but didn't have a good relationship so in the end broke up... And that he didn't want to repeat the same pattern with me. So I was like okay... (Tbh, I wasn't I was crying on the corner of my room for 2 night straight). Hence-forth, not too long ago, (since I live in Australia, Queensland) there's an event happening around every year in August and I asked him if he's going he said no and so on. And what tick me off was when he said "I don't want to go with underage girl" and I was really pissed off with him... (Being honest here) though it may seem like I was inviting him to go with me I wasn't... Not after such shit happen the first time... Therefore what do I do? Like I ignore his talk today the whole day... So what do I do?
