I had a fundanshi boyfriend, it was cool. I could talk to him about the stuff I was reading and he’d be into it. We aren’t dating anymore because things happened and unfortunately we couldn’t stay friends after but i do miss talking about yaoi and friends teasing us for it. It was something exclusive we shared and it was nice.

People shouldn't make friends over some hobby, much less a partner. I did and it was a mistake. I made friends over music (into metal, punk and rock). Some still great friends even after 20-28 years later. But the others simply looked to the other side when I needed the most. Look for friends and partners who share your values not hobbies. Actually before my crush knew I liked him we were friends.
