People shouldn't make friends over some hobby, much less a partner. I did and it was a mistake. I made friends over music (into metal, punk and rock). Some still great friends even after 20-28 years later. But the others simply looked to the other side when I needed the most. Look for friends and partners who share your values not hobbies.
