will you guys, like, get married one day ?
So, a little while ago I had this discussion with my brother, as we're both working adults now. There are this social stigma and peer pressure around us (unlike when we're both still young ) that the normal thing to do is to get married. If not, you're weird, or something is wrong with you. But honestly ? seriously? will you ?
I told my mom "I won't get married" and she got mad at me, telling me that creating your own family is the greatest part of your life. In which I think it's not. I'm almost 23 but in my entire life, I only enjoy dating once. During my last relationship, I realized a life being single, being alone, you can do whatever you want. To each his own.
People my age are already married and even have kids but I'm not really excited with the thought. I couldn't even see myself being married to my longtime (ex) boyfriend despite being in a hard-to-come-by faithful relat...... reply
No. I am 43, and while I used to date and even have a 19-yr-old son (out of wedlock), I do not really date anymore. I have only ever met one man that I TRULY wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He did not love me back (we are still friends, but he married someone else). After that, I tried dating a few times, but I just don't feel anything ev...... 1 reply
