Respect all opinions
This is such a weird thing to say. I have seen so many people on this site saying, back in the day we minded our business and respected other's opinions. Like no, not all opinions needs to be respected. There are so many instances where your opinions can be counted as offensive. Like saying fetishizing a group of people is ok, gay people shouldn’t get married or the whole super-straight thing. Wouldn’t respecting these shitty opinions make you a piece of shit as well?
I kinda got a mixed opinion on this. I do agree with you to a certain extent. This mindset is a duel edge sword. First off obviously opinions like "fetishizing a group of people is ok, gay people shouldn’t get married or the whole super-straight thing." are god awful things. I respect everyone has a right to their opinion, and that they should be able to share it. Not necessarily in every place (eg don’t use children’s forums to post sexual crap etc) but adults should be able to be exposed to others opinions and ideas, even the ones you consider stupid.

I feel like no opinion should ever be praised, respected, or held above another person's opinion. And my reasoning for that is because we all have different perspectives and what goes against our morals and someone else's morals. I agree. some claim that no opinion should be treated as more superior than others. but when your so-called opinion is detrimental and goes beyond out-of-space moral standards, then people should call that shit out and demolish it. 2 reply
