do some people find it cringy when people use japanese terms when they're not actually japanese or have any relations to japanese culture besides anime? i'm not trying to gatekeep language or anything but is this just me going through a reddit phase bc shit. yall with the "xxx-chan~" usernames or w japanese as your names just sits weird w me. PLEASE someone tell me if this is just me. seeing the culture/language i grew up with turn into an aesthetic and trend just rubs me the wrong way. help?
