So since you lot have read so many Yaoi...
Can someone tell me if this is a thing:
In some Yaoi manga I've read, most commonly Japanese, there's this thing where the characters are saying some reference to or connected to a cat or dog, then that would be their position in bed when the sexy time comes on. Cat meaning a bottom and Dog as the top (I've read in a manga before that this is the distinction for top or bottom in japan. xD)
I just recently noticed this happening and now I'm curious if some how, it's present in a lot of yaoi...
Sorry, it's something so simple but it's just so funny that the authors would insert that clue before the sexy time. xD
gay bottoms are referred as “neko’s”, I haven’t read any yaoi mentioning that. so yeah, it’s a thing xD
curious about calling tops dogs tho, since I haven’t heard any tops being referred to as dogs reply
I've heard it used once before in fushidara na hanatsumi otoko, chapter 3. Rival asks clueless uke to be if he's the mc's "cat". Truly though uke/seme have dif names for dif subjects. You read triple x and the characters baseball positions also indicate their sex positions. reply
In manga the terms are seme and uke. Seme means to attack In Japanese and uke means to receive. So, the seme is the top and the uke is the bottom. In real life slang, the terms are neko and tachi. Neko meaning cat and tachi meaning sword or "standing tall". So, neko is the bottom and tachi is the top. There is no slang in Japanese gay culture for d...... reply
