I definitely don't like how they portray women in a lot of yaoi. I understand that it's BL but they don't have to treat all girls as if they are petty, superficial, conniving evil people. It kind of grates on my nerves.

I hate the miscommunication which lives a giant mess but in some cases, it's okay depending plot. I also dislike in some yaoi they have sex way too early there not always a build up to it like okay they meet, talk than have sex. 2 reply

For the lack of communication pet peeve of yours that may work in K-dramas but it's just annoying in yaoi. My pet peeve however, is when main character of yaoi is drawn so girly (the uke at least, I love it when the seme is the cute smaller one).
