How do I play genshin inpact?

OK so I just started playing today and why is it when I try to leave the island I just get set back to the island and I have to keep fighting the fire slimes how do I defeat that cause it just sets me back to the island every time I try to swim away??

Do you mean the beach where everyone starts at? If its bugging out, try putting it in the lowest graphic setting then restarting, it might help reply
