IS IT BAD TO KEEP A DOG OUTSIDE IN THE SUMMER

but physically too bc my mom wont let our pit bull come in the house bc she says "dogs are gross animals" or whatevers but lets a cat come in whenever it pleases...
i asked if we could bring him in after we give him baths bc he gets super lonely when hes outside alone and is outside alone but she still said no and just yelled at me for no reason:/
anyway yall what can i do to convince my mom to let him stay inside once in a while
of course it is bad, your dog could die from the humidity so its better to keep him in a cooler place. maybe try guilt-tripping her, talk her into pitying your dog reply
I mean isn’t that neglect? Maybe tell her that the dog could possibly die from overheating or heat exhaustion? Especially if you live in an area where it gets really hot then I, personally, would consider it abuse. At the very least you can try to convince her to allow you to take care of the dog outside or maybe give it a little table to chill u...... reply
I don't think its okay. But I get what your saying tho, and had my dad do that. But its kinda different bc my dogs are rottweiler and a doberman. Otherwise summer and winter, its not okay. It's to hot and winter is to cold for some dogs to be out. So try to talk with you mom about it, but don't just say she'll be a "murderer" cause.. that might be ...... reply
As a person who has a dog and a mother who hates dogs even though she had some when she was younger NO it is NOT OK! My sister had a hamster that died outside in the heat because My mom didn’t put him in the shadows, she only put her birds in it. Poor thing drank all the water from his drinking bottle. No, its not ok. a dog can have heat stroke too ya know. If you really can't bring the dog inside then atleast keep him in a place with shade or a windy place. 1 reply
