Things that I hate in BL!
I a lot of yaoi, and I do this not just for the sex, I do this because I hope that I would find some good plot! Yeah, I'm one of the people who read yaoi for the plot and not for the sex. I would just start with the biggest problem in yaoi manga - rape. Trust me I read a lot of manga in my life, in the yaoi community rape is like the start of a relationship, and it seems like people are okay with this. The part that I love the most in rape is when the one who was raped just like "Oof, I was raped. Well, now I'm in love". The second problem is how yaoi works, I noticed that in a lot of yaoi manga the characters fuck ones and maybe twice in the first chapter. I just feel like the author doesn't give a shit about the plot, and just wanted to draw porn. Then there is the third problem - love. So the characters know each other for a week, and after that, I have to believe that they're in love. Then the mental health problem comes. I hate when the character has a big psychological problem, but at the end of the manga, it just disappears, because of love guess. Also, I love how after the characters tell they're painful background stories - they fuck because apparently, you can't do anything except fucking.
Oof, that was quite a lot, sorry (〜￣△￣)〜 My English is not perfect so sorry for that either. It was more of a conversation because I had to finally write everything that annoys for a long time.
I also read a lot of yaoi and I have a lot of the same grievances as were already stated but I have no problem restating them!

Lotsa people have stated most of the negative things about BL mangas/manhuas/manhwas, so I'll put my personal opinions as additions.

Look, I’m fine with twisted stories and toxic relationship portrayals because portraying something isn’t the same as condoning it. HOWEVER, for that argument to work, presentation matters! I especially hate the plot line where the seme kidnaps, rapes, and abuses the uke just because they had a relationship in the past and he's trying to make the duke remember. And once they do remember, they get back in a relationship togther. Like we just gonna forgot all he bad shit that happened prior to getting the memories back?!?! Only in Obey ...... reply
I hate when the seme and uke are not together and then seme sexually harasses the uke, and the uke is obviously not wanting it but the seme continues, also when the uke gets rape by the seme, but then act like it never happened and then the uke still loves the seme after it because the seme "can do no wrong". It just gets me really mad. reply

Seiously tho, romanticizing rape in BL is such a lazy device for a plot and is the biggest pet peeve for me. I hate most of the bottoms/ukes are dumb and easily manipulated. Plus, I can see in some BL manga/manhwa, you can tell that the author just make a common, simple boy & girl love plot and then just change the girl to another boy
