one of my best friend just confessed to me
i have no idea what to do. its not like I hate him but i just cant picture me and him in a relationship or me and him being together in the future. so the obvious answer should be rejecting him right? well yes, but what if I accept and then i eventually develop feelings for him? or what if I reject him and regret it I the futute? i wanna live my life to the fullest and not have regrets but its so selfish to risk a mutual friendship for my future well being. what should I do?
When it comes to relationships you may regret in the future, there’s not much sense in worrying about that. That can happen in any relationship, friend or not.
Also, what does “confess” mean in this case? They want to go out with you? They want to spend time with you, go to new places with you, share new experiences with you? Or do they just...... reply
I would suggest telling him you would like to think it over for a week. Within that week think of it as if youve rejected him, and if you want some space that can help aswell. If you do have any romantic feelings then they will show during that week. It also doesnt hurt to talk it over with him either. If hes your bestie you should tell him that it...... reply
