y'all ever just be the biggest hypocrites? cuz istg ill hate a side character/antagonist for doing something morally wrong but not give a fuck if it's the mc is doing it. who knows i might even love the mc for doing it/being that way or have started reading that story bc the mc is so fucked up. the reason for that might be because i read from practically every genre so ive seen all types of mc's. im well aware of it so ive been trying to stop forming opinions on whether something is morally right or wrong and view it all objectively. it might not let me experience the story fully but im like extremely tired of thinking how hypocritical it can get to hate a character for something id love another character for.
u right I'm tired of people justifying what side characters do like for example that rapist painter of the night people can hate him. But then there are people saying his childhood..bitch idgaf yeah it's sad but he is the same as them.Some MC I see being horrible people but almost nobody bats an eye
