Difference between kink and fetish
What’s the difference?? How come you can’t fetishise something but you’re also not allowed to kink shame people?? I’m so confused I thought they were synonyms.
isnt a kink a sexual preference while fetishizing is obsessing and oversexualizing something? someone correct me if im wrong cuz im not about to google search the definitions. having kinks, aka sexual preferences is a more normal thing, fetishizing lgbtq+ relationships is not. just think of it like that. also obv other things besides lgbtq+ relatio...... 1 reply
Fetish is a sexual fixation on a certain object or act that is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to achieve gratification/ satisfaction.
Kink is a sexual interest, preference or fantasies but is NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to achieve release.
All fetishes are kinks, but not all kinks are fetishes.

i think kink and fetish are pretty similar, but "fetishize" means something a bit different.
fetishizing is to make something the object of a fetish, but now it has more of a negative connotation.
like how you would say "foot fetish" instead of "fetishizing feet", but you would NOT say "race fetish" instead of "fetishizing race".
