It was a slur used for japanese people according to my grandma. But it’s not used now so i guess since it wasn’t used as an asian slur for a while it’s okay to call it for other people. My grandma is japanese and she said it doesn’t bother her when people use it to offend other people….so it’s technically not a slur “now” reply
