My parents think I’m a lesbian and I’m straight
My mom told me that both her and my dad think that I’m a lesbian because all of my friends are in the LGBT+ community somehow or another. I’m straight and I feel like I’ve told her so many times. She says I’m obsessed with gay people and it’s like no... I just like RuPaul’s Drag Race sometimes!
Also, not sure if this is relevant but I live in a conservative household and I thought my mom was pretty accepting but the more I listen maybe not.
Am I wrong to feel a little insulted that she doesn’t believe me?
I legit wonder if you have every asked her that question. "Like mom, why do you want me to be a lesbian so bad?" If you ever do, let us know her reply lol. Maybe instead of saying "No I'm not a lesbian" just play with her and say something like "Ok if you so desperately want me to be" and see her reaction. People's reactions can say a lot.
