Hyperlexia is usually a "splinter skill" (unique skill w/o much practical application) that you often see in those with Autism. It's not always associated with Autism, but that's what it's commonly linked with. I see this in the kid I tutor. He has Autism and reads like WHOA fast and high level, but struggles to write and do other types of communic...... reply

discovered this a bit early cause my elementary school didnt accept me at first for being underage (i was 5 enrolling for 1st grade) until they found out i could read 2 languages reply
