What do you y'all think about the "ugly bastard" trope in porn/hentai/etc.- I honestly hate the trope completely. The concept doesn't even make sense like an attractive person is on display to be fucked by this Nasty and we're meant to enjoy it?? To be fair I do love the ugly characters in BL because those types tend to be on the receiving end and it doesn't glorify the person being fucked
The same reason why male orcs are still popular in hentai. It's all about the contrast. The art is mostly gorgeous in the ugly bastard porn. Or if you are reading something where something despicable happens, it's better to have an ugly bastard there instead of a decent looking guy.
