To those who like tragedy, why?
I tend to avoid tragedy with a 10 ft pole since I really don't like the sad feelings that linger but when I have, I am usually OKAY at most just a little teary. I had avoided tragedy for so long but I recently watched banana fish and it completely destroyed me. I bawled for the main characters and cried so much. I am thoroughly traumatized and vow to never go through such a painful experience again (dramatic i know, but I'm just very disheartened). But for those who seek it and enjoy tragic endings, why?
i don't exactly seek tragedy, but i definitely don't avoid it either. i think there are certain types of stories that, if they had happy endings per-say they would lose a lot of their emotional impact. tragedy can explore a thread of thought and ideas in a way that a happily ever after cannot.
like banana fish for instance, these characters lives...... reply
